I got to see a Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic teaser over the weekend!
I visited former 2019 Cardboard Classic winners, Dave and Debbie of Lakeside Collision CARSTAR in Mount Laurel, NJ during the construction of their 2024 Cardboard Classic entry. Their theme this year is Blues Brothers.
Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic truly is an event unlike any other. It features out-of-this-world cardboard-built sleds, created by Preston & Steve + WMMR listeners, as they try to make it down the hill for bragging rights and cash prizes. Categories include Best Design, Best Tito’s Handmade Vodka Sled, Fastest, and Preston & Steve’s Favorite Fail.
Spectators are welcome to watch all the P&S Cardboard Classic action free of charge. WMMR DJs will be there to cheer the participants on as they slip and slide down the mountain. Come on up and watch!
Get your cardboard creativity going, much like Dave and Debbie. Cardboard Classic invites listeners to make sleds using only glue, tape, string, paint, and cardboard.
The construction process is elaborate. It was so cool to get to see some builders in action. They are dedicated to the cardboard grind! What a blast.
