MMRBQ is on September 16 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion and there are some songs we want to hear from Tigercub.

Featuring a seven–foot front man, who is also a radio host and music historian, this band is literally larger than life. Tigercub is a three-piece rock band from Brighton, UK. The band was formed by Jamie Hall and James Allix in 2011. The founding members met at a university in Brighton.

The band’s front man was absentmindedly watching a movie when he first heard the phrase “the perfume of decay.” It was nothing more than an isolated piece of dialogue, but the line resonated with him. It sounded dark and heavy, just like his band’s sound. With that, The Perfume of Decay became Tigercub’s third record. It came out on June 2, 2023.

This new album is everything you’d want to hear from the band. They totally rocked it. Upon listening to this new release, we realized that we REALLY need to hear some of these tracks live (at MMRBQ, of course). The sound is dark, deep, and unabashedly rocks. Their set is going to be epic no matter what they play, but we really hope they play these.

Here are 4 songs we want to hear from Tigercub at MMRBQ:

  • "THE PERFUME OF DECAY"

The title track from their newest release is amazing. It sounds just like its title, and encapsulates just what the band set out to do.

  • "SHOW ME MY MAKER"

It’s dark. It’s heavy. It rocks. Yet another single off the new release that made our jaws drop!

  • "SWOON"

A slower jam, this song has a great intensity about it. It’s a total head-banger.

  • "PLAY MY FAVOURITE SONG"

This is a dancier track, and of course we want to dance at MMRBQ! We really hope they start their set with this one.
