6 Songs We Want To Hear From Dirty Honey at MMRBQ

MMRBQ is on September 16 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion and there are some songs we want to hear from Dirty Honey.

As our very own Jacky BamBam says, “Dirty Honey is 3 chords, and a cloud of dust, and dirty Rock n’ Roll.” Some musicians take a while to build an audience and connect with fans. For the Los Angeles-based quartet, success came right out of the gate.

93.3 WMMR debuted the new Dirty Honey track, “Won’t Take Me Alive” on July 7. The MMRBQ Featured Artist is back with their first single from their upcoming sophomore album. Can’t Find the Brakes is due out this fall. The song is full of sex and swagger, but it’s still got the heaviness and the fun the band is about. It’s really great because it’s quintessential Dirty Honey with a fresh twist.

The band’s self-titled first album captures the electric dynamics and energy of their live sound. The Dirty Honey album builds on the band’s output to date, helped along by the lead single “California Dreamin’”. The songwriting on the LP plays up their strengths. They’re a bluesy, rock n’ roll, melodic hard rock, soulful ‘70s blues-rock band.

We can’t wait to hear more of that in their second, screamin’ album.

  • "Won't Take Me Alive"

    We would love to hear the track we debuted live on our stage! It’s got that quintessential Dirty Honey screaming vocal we all know and love.

  • "Another Last Time"

    This is a slower jam that will totally be a head-banger in person. Maybe even a song that warrants flashlights/lighters waving. It’s so full of soul!

  • "The Wire"

    This is a song we’ve been playing on WMMR for some time. We love it SO MUCH. We would love to hear it live.

  • "California Dreamin'"

    “California Dreamin'” is as Dirty Honey as you can get. It’s that soulful, classic-sounding rock we all love.

  • "Rolling 7s"

    This bluesy, smoky, driving tune will be a hit at MMRBQ. We really hope they play this one.

  • "When I'm Gone"

    This is a heavier track that is sure to get people on their feet. We really love the stadium-rock feel of this one.
