MMRBQ is on September 16 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion and there are some songs we want to hear from Larkin Poe.

Georgia–bred multi–instrumentalist sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell fortify their storytelling with a blues–heavy sound that hits right in the heart. It sometimes turns stormy and sorrowful and wildly exhilarating.

Their latest fulllength album, Blood Harmony, is an invitation into a world they know intimately. All throughout Blood Harmony, they imbue their songs with equal parts soulful sensitivity and thrilling ferocity. Both elements are on full display in their feverish guitar work. It’s a glorious testament to staying true to your instincts.

Blood Harmony embodies a joyful empowerment that Larkin Poe hope to extend to their globe-spanning fanbase. That’s why we want to hear PLENTY of tracks from the new release. Larkin Poe is a force to be reckoned with. We love women that truly ROCK!

These sisters are close friends of the station. They, most recently, performed some new stuff live on the Preston and Steve Show. The intimate performance was so amazing. We can’t wait to see them on the big stage at MMRBQ!

Here are 6 songs we want to hear from Larkin Poe At MMRBQ:

  • "Blood Harmony"

Rebecca’s soulful vocals really shine through on this song. It’s the title track of their new album, so we GOTTA hear it live.

  • "Strike Gold"

They performed this tune when it was still unreleased back when they were on the Preston and Steve Show. It was an honor to hear it then, and it would be an honor to hear it again.

  • "Southern Comfort"

Their roots shine through on this song. We love to hear this blues-y side of Larkin Poe.

  • "Georgia Off My Mind"

This song is one you can get and dance to. The steel guitar feature is so cool. We have to see it live.

  • "Holy Ghost Fire"

This track is Larkin Poe at their best. It exemplifies the master musicianship they truly embody. It’s a REALLY good song and we NEED to hear it at MMRBQ.

  • "Bad Spell"

This song truly ROCKS. It’s heavy. It shows off just how good they are at creating art with guitars.
