Fozzy At Brooklyn Bowl Philly [Brent’s Photos & Video]

The “Ayatollah of Rocknrolla” Chris Jericho, and his band Fozzy, brought their ‘Save The World’ Tour to Brooklyn Bowl Philly on Sunday night. The fellas are touring in support of their 8th studio album, 2022’s ‘Boombox’. The energy was through the roof, as Jericho declared it a “Phozzy Friday in Philadelphia”, emphasizing the “Ph” in Phozzy. The band rocked out hard through a hits-packed-set featuring all of our favorite Fozzy tunes, including, ‘Judas’, ‘Lights Go Out’, ‘Nowhere to Run’, ‘I Still Burn’, & ‘Burn Me Out’. They also spiced up versions of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s ‘Relax’ (full video below) & The Ramones ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’. Seventh Day Slumber and The Nocturnal Affair helped to open the stellar ‘MMR Concert Event at Brooklyn Bowl Philly.

    I am pretty sure this was the first time I caught Fozzy live! They opened for Buckcherry on the outdoor stage at Xfinity Live in South Philadelphia 5.31.2014.

DAILY RUSH – Chris Jericho (wmmr.com)

Chris Jericho. the lead singer of Fozzy,  is also a professional wrestler, actor, author, and podcaster. Jericho was born in Manhasset, New York, in 1970. He began his professional wrestling career in 1990, and has since competed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E). Jericho is a six-time world champion, having held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, and the WWF/E World Heavyweight Championship four times each. He is also a five-time Intercontinental Champion, a four-time United States Champion, and a two-time World Tag Team Champion. Jericho is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, and was inducted in 2019.

Jericho began his music career in 1999, when he formed Fozzy with guitarist Rich Ward. The band has released eight studio albums, and has toured extensively throughout the world. Fozzy’s most recent album, Boombox, was released in 2021.

In addition to his wrestling and music careers, Jericho has also appeared in several films and television shows. He has hosted his own podcast, Talk Is Jericho, since 2013. Jericho is a successful businessman, and has his own line of clothing and merchandise. He is also a published author, and has written two books, Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 10 Easy Steps and A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex.
