Jacky BamBam will be at this year’s Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic!
The Cardboard Classic returns to Montage Mountain on March 1, 2024.
Back in 2006, Preston & Steve Show host, Preston Elliot had an idea: invite listeners to build sleds using only 4 materials and race them down a snow tubing hill. It took a bit of convincing, but the bosses officially added the Cardboard Classic to 93.3 WMMR’s Day Off on the Slopes, a station tradition since the mid-80s. WMMR did not know what to expect those first years, but the creativity of the sled builders blew us away!
This year, the sleds will race down the tubing hill at Montage Mountain competing for prizes based on categories like design, theme, and speed. Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic is free for spectators to attend. Sleds must be registered ahead of time.
Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic is just the beginning of the epic weekend. Bring your gear because Montage Mountain will have the trails open and ready for you to shred. After the trophies are handed out, live music kicks off in the festival area. I, along with Pierre and Brent, will broadcast live from the lodge.
Collective Soul hits the stage at 5 pm Friday night. Then we do it all again on Saturday. Festival vendors live music with The 502s and O.A.R.. more. It’s all capped off with a fireworks show at sundown. Tickets for Mountainfest are available via MontageMountainResorts.com.
