A number of the suits from the Mummers Parade for 2023 are now on display at the Mummers Museum. The photos don’t do them justice. The best way to see them AND see the history of the Mummers is to go to the Museum. So much more detail than you can imagine.

Below we have put together some of the new suits in the Winners Circle and throughout the museum to give you an idea of the eye candy that will await you during your visit.

For a unique place for an event the Mummers Museum can accommodate weddings, birthday parties and everything in between.
Seating and a large dance floor are available in the hall.  They can accommodate up to 250 Guests.
If you need a bar package or beer,  they  customize for your needs.
Free parking, wifi, handicap accessible, air conditioned, easy access to Interstate 95.

    Meet the Witch Doctor:
    – fabricating the Witch Doctor’s bodysuit took over 55 hours
    – the Witch Doctor’s back piece frame took 6 hours to weld
    – covering the back piece took 20 hours
    – there are around 300 mirrors and 400 gems
    – there are about 300 plumes on the back-piece and 200 feathers on the bodysuit
    – the Witch Doctor’s staff spewed purple haze smoke during Joe’s judging stand performance
    – Joe Bongard fabricated his suit at his home in his free time and in a self described “mad dash” for New Years Day

  • Mother Nature

    Meet Mother Nature:
    – Mother Nature took over 100 hours to fabricate
    – Mother Nature boasts of two full burgundy skirts layered to create the textured gatherings. Each skirt has a fourteen foot circumference. Each 1 inch of the waist line consists of 5.5 inches of pleated fabric.
    – each two linear feet of the burgundy skirt has 58 gems making over 400 burgundy gems on the skirt
    – the heaviest part of the suit is the green leaf belt.
    – the flower section of the suit contains about 300 gems
    – the green leaf belt has around 200 gems and mirrors
    – the headpiece is covered with brocade fabric matching the shirt. The rest of the headpiece is created from upcycled materials, literally making Mother Nature topped off in decades of Golden Sunrise history.
    – this suit was made in Jesa’s family room on top of her children’s air hockey table during nights and weekends. She is an elementary school teacher who had the full support and encouragement of her fabulous Magical Room 4th graders!
