WMMR’s Back To School A to Z: “V” Songs

Starting Thursday, August 31, and going through on or about September 14, we will take you through our catalog from A to Z. Here are all the "V" songs.

This song is about “feeling like an insect under a magnifying glass,” according to lead singer Scott Weiland. It's about being stuck in the same situation over and over again. Weiland was in a tough situation, lying to his bandmates about his addiction. "Vasoline" came out of that dilemma.

“Viva La Vida” tells the story of a monarch who’s lost his kingdom. In another way, though, the song can also be seen as a narrative on the French Revolution given the historical and biblical references in the lyrics.
