No, this song is not about the drug, as the acronym of the title suggests. Well, at least, that’s what John Lennon claimed. His son Julian had drawn a picture at school, and when asked what it was, he replied, “it’s Lucy in the sky with diamonds,” Lucy being his friend in his class. From there, Lennon wrote one of the most psychedelic songs of the 60s.
