Love Run Philadelphia 2025: What to Know About Parking Mandates, Road Closures
The BMW Love Run Philadelphia 2025 Half Marathon and 7K will kick off in Philadelphia on Sunday, March 30. Approximately 11,000 people will participate in the races on Sunday. The half marathon will begin and conclude at the Art Museum at Eakins Oval and will pass historic Philadelphia landmarks and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway before wrapping up at Eakins Oval at the Rocky Steps.
Here’s what you need to know about parking and road closures if you’re planning to watch the event or want to get around the race:
What Roads Will Be Closed?
The following streets will be closed on Sunday, March 30, beginning at 3 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m.:
- Benjamin Franklin Parkway from 22nd Street to Eakins Oval
- Eakins Oval from Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Philadelphia Museum of Art
- Kelly Drive from Eakins Oval to Brewery Hill Drive
The following roads along the Love Run Philadelphia Half Marathon and 7K route will close to vehicle traffic at approximately 6:45 a.m. All streets in Center City will reopen around approximately 11 a.m.
- 6th Street from Market Street to Arch Street
- 16th Street from Benjamin Franklin Parkway to John F. Kennedy Boulevard
- 20th Street from John F. Kennedy Blvd. to Market Street
- Arch Street from 6th Street to Benjamin Franklin Parkway
- Avenue of the Republic to Memorial Hill Drive
- Benjamin Franklin Parkway from 16th Street to Eakins Oval
- Black Road to Avenue of the Republic
- Brewery Hill Drive to West Girard Avenue
- John F. Kennedy Boulevard from 16th Street to 20th Street
- Juniper Street to Market Street
- Lansdown Drive to Sweet Briar Drive
- Market Street from 20th Street to 15th Street
- Market Street from Juniper Street to 6th Street
- Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to Falls Bridge
- Memorial Hill Drive to South Concourse Drive
- Penn Square to Juniper Street
- West Girard Avenue to Lansdowne Drive

What About Parking Restrictions?
The city will post temporary no-parking signs on streets listed above. Parking is prohibited in the posted areas on Sunday between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. Vehicles parked in these areas during posted hours will be towed, officials said.
Can I Use Public Transportation?
The following SEPTA Bus Routes will be detoured on Saturday, March 29, starting at 6 a.m. until approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 30: 38 and 43
