LAMB OF GOD consider Philadelphia to be their “spiritual hometown” and they returned last week to bring us songs from their latest album VII: Sturm Und Drang. Before their show at the Electric Factory, WMMR’s Sara sat down with LoG vocalist Randy Blythe to discuss the band’s connection with Philly, evolving as an artist, and his arrest and trial in Prague, which is documented in his memoir Dark Days as well as the film As The Palaces Burn.

He also talked about his hopes to one day collaborate with Wu Tang Clan, touring with thrash titans Anthrax, and why he won’t be attending the Grammy Awards (even though the track “512” was nominated for Best Metal Performance). Take a listen to the interview below.

Get a full recap of Lamb Of God’s show at the Electric Factory (1/16/16) with Anthrax, Deafheaven, and Power Trip over at Riot-Nerd.
