Elfreth’s Alley is a National Historic Landmark in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited residential streets in the United States, dating back to 1703. The alley is home to 32 early American structures, built between 1720 and 1836. Most of the homes are privately owned, but two of them, 124 and 126, are the Elfreth’s Alley Museum. The museum is run by the Elfreth’s Alley Association, which was founded in 1934 to preserve and protect the alley. The association also tells the story of the alley’s inhabitants, who were primarily artisans and working-class laborers. The alley receives 250,000 annual visitors from all over the world.

Visit Franklin Square
Franklin Square is a refreshing urban green space in Philadelphia, one of five public squares laid out by William Penn in his original plan for the city. The park offers a ton of awesome activities, including a marble masterpiece fountain and a storytelling bench.
Originally named “North East Publick Square,” the park was renamed in honor of Benjamin Franklin in 1825. The centerpiece of the park, the Franklin Square Fountain, was built in 1838 and is surrounded by wrought iron fences. In 2019, the fountain underwent a $2 million renovation and was re-opened with a new fountain show that features water spraying and soaring in the air, in sync with music and colorful lights in the evening. The fountain shows run daily every 30 minutes from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. until closing, and the shows end for the season on October 31.
The golf and the carousel cost money, but the park is free.
