Guitarist Mark Morton recently put out an ambitious solo album, Anesthetic, which features a ton of notable guests: Mike Inez of Alice In Chains, Myles Kennedy, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Mark’s Lamb Of God bandmate Randy Blythe, and the late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, just to name a few. Mark is taking the new material on the road and stopped by the MMR studios before his show at Underground Arts in Philly. He talked with Sara about his history with Philadelphia, how it felt to step on stage for the first time to play these new songs, the diversity of sounds on Anesthetic, being a part of Slayer’s farewell tour, when we’ll hear new music from Lamb, and a lot more.

See Mark Morton TONIGHT (3/14) at Underground Arts with Moon Tooth – some tickets remain.

You can also catch Mark on tour with Lamb of God this summer supporting Slayer; they’ll be in Camden on 5/24. In the meantime, pick up Mark’s new album HERE!
