Golden Gloves of America Tournament of Champions at Harrah’s Philadelphia [PHOTOS]

Golden Gloves of America, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, brought their 2023 National Tournament of Champions to Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack in Chester last week, and I was there to catch all the action! With fighters in town from all over the country for this event, Saturday night featured 20 bouts, 10 male & 10 female, with weight classes ranging from 110lbs to 203+lbs. A number of the bouts also secured spots in the Olympic qualifiers coming up for the winners of their respective fights. Prior Golden Gloves Champions that have risen to be National Champions include Mike Tyson, Michael Spinks, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mickey Ward and more!

I also wanted to thank John Venner from Juniper Group Media & General Secretary Treasurer from the United Association (UA) of Plumbers, Pipe Fitters, Welders, and HVAC Techs, Pat Kellet for taking some time to speak with us at 'MMR (pictured). I also wanted to thank Springler Fitters Local Union 669 "Fire Protection Keeping America Safe" & Sprinkler Fitters Local Union 692 "Keeping Philadelphia Fire Safe for Over 100 Years" covering Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey & Delaware - both part of the UA.
