WMMR and Brent Porche rocked St. Patrick’s Day, Delco style!
Brent and the MMaRmy hosted a huge party and a live afternoon broadcast from 3pm to 7pm at Dolan’s Bar on East Sellers Avenue in Ridley Park, just off of I-95, Exit 8 and a short stumble – er, short walk – to and from the Ridley Train Station. There was live music, food vendors, drink specials and more at Delco’s greatest Irish dive bar. It was perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day party.
And get this: Dolan’s Bar is celebrating 70 years as a Delco staple!
Pierre Robert made an appearance during Brent’s live show. We also had a performance from Walt Lafty of Silvertide. We brought him on air to talk about the upcoming reunion of Silvertide, who are renowned in the Philadelphia music scene and will be taking over the MMRBQ stage on Saturday September 21st at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.
While on site, Brent gave away concert tickets every hour to a handful of lucky WMMR listeners. Some of the shows he gave out seats to include: Judas Priest on April 21st in Reading; Staind, Seether, Saint Asonia and Tim Montana on May 1st in Reading; Neil Young and Crazy Horse on May 12th in Camden; and Daryl Hall and Elvis Costello on July 10th at the Mann Music Center in Fairmount Park.
