I had the honor of helping our sister station 102.9 WMGK with their annual Thanksgiving food drive and fundraiser. Turkey Drop 2023 was an absolute success!
The Annual MGK Turkey Drop, presented by ACME Markets, is the largest one-day food gathering event in Philadelphia. The MGK air staff spread out around the tri-state area collecting turkey & monetary donations for CityTeam Philadelphia, an organization that provides holiday meals to less fortunate families in the Philadelphia region.
I got to hang out at the Voorhees, New Jersey ACME donation location from 7 to 10 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2023. It was so fun to hang with all of the generous listeners who stopped by to donate.
I made sure to wear my BIGGEST Mummer get-up for the event. It was a great way to spend a morning. I helped out my drinking buddy Matty Cord while he was on the air for his WMGK Morning Show with Steve Vassalotti!
