INDIO, CA - MAY 01: Singer Luke Bryan performs onstage during 2016 Stagecoach California's Country Music Festival at Empire Polo Club on May 01, 2016 in Indio, California.

It’s Bulldog time in Philly. Here are 9 country music stars who are now clearly Philadelphia Eagles fans. The NFL Draft was in May and the Eagles drafted not one, not two, but three players from the University of Georgia football team. The University of Georgia won the college national championship the past two years so needless to say they have amazing players. Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles also drafted two Georgia players last year in Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean.

The NFL Draft was held in Kansas City from last Thursday to Sunday. Normally in the NFL Draft, the best teams from the previous season choose last, which obviously makes sense, because the NFL wants the worst teams from the previous seasons to have a better chance at choosing the best players coming out of college.

Howie Roseman is a magician though and the Eagles had not one, but two Round 1 picks this year. The Eagles chose at #9 and #30 in the first round of this year’s draft. It can get kind of confusing on how NFL General Mangers trade draft pics, so if you’re curious on how the Eagles got the New Orleans Saints Round 1 draft pick, click here for the explanation.

One thing I noticed about country music stars is that they are not really NFL fans, because so many of them are from the south, they are more college football fans and so many of them are Georgia Bulldog fans. So the fact that the Eagles have 5 players from the NFL draft that are all former Georgia Players, means some of our favorite country music stars are now definitely (probably) huge Philadelphia Eagles fans. Luke Bryan is a massive Georgia fan and he even shoutout out the Eagles during an interview he did with Andie Summers last fall. So when Luke is here for the XTU Anniversary Show, we need to get him an Eagles jersey so he can sport it this upcoming season!

Let’s take a look at the new Eagles players from Georgia and our favorite country music stars who are now Eagles fans because of it!

  • Kelee Ringo

Kelee Jahare-Hale Ringo is an American football cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at Georgia. He was a two-time CFP national champion with the Bulldogs, winning in 2021 and 2022.

  • D'Andre Swift

D’Andre is from Philly, played for St Joe’s Prep and then Georgia. He’s been killing it on the field over the past 3 games. Clearly making his hometown Philly and college Bulldogs proud.

  • Nolan Smith

Nolan Sental Smith Jr. is an American football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at Georgia, where he was a two-time CFP national champion before being selected by the Eagles in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

  • Jalen Carter

People are already talking that Jalen Carter could be make the pro-bowl as a rookie which is extremely rare. He’s been a force on defense and it’s been fun to watch. Jason Kelce said he’s in awe of him every game.

  • Charles Kelly

Charles Kelly from Lady A is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan. So clearly he’s watching the Eagles this season thinking he’d like to come to a game to see his guys play.

  • Luke Bryan

We know that Luke is a huge Georgia fan. Remember at the XTU Anniversary show when he talked on stage how Philly should thank him for drafting all of his Bulldogs? We need to get him an Eagles jersey.

  • Thomas Rhett

Cole Swindell is a Georgia boy too, but he went to Georgia Southern. Imagine if TR came to Philly with Cole and they performed at a game. We’d love it.

  • Kane Brown

Kane Brown loves Georgia and is always dressing up his two daughters in their Georgia Bulldogs outfits. His wife Katelyn is from Philly and wore an Eagles jersey to the SuperBowl so I have a feeling he’s also rooting for the Birds.

  • Jason Aldean

Jason is always posting about his love of Georgia Bulldogs. He’s from Macon, Georgia and loves rooting for his favorite team.

  • Zac Brown Band

Zac Brown Band is from Atlanta and formed playing in and around Georgia, especially all the local colleges.

  • Travis Denning

Travis Denning is from Warner Robins, GA and is always showing his love of Georgia on his socials.

  • Ray Fulcher

Ray Fulcher, a singer-song writer, who has written over 8 #1 songs with Luke Combs, has his own song literally about Georgia football called “Love Ya Son, Go Dawgs.”

  • Jon Langston

Jon is from Loganville, Georgia. He released an extended play, Showtime, with Treehouse Records, in 2015. This was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.
