A Tribute To Jerry Blavat This Weekend

Join me, Jacky BamBam, and Pierre Robert as we pay tribute to Jerry Blavat, the Geator with the Heater, this weekend.

On Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 8 p.m., head over to Kimmel Cultural Campus for a night of Philadelphia greats. The Geator was an irreplaceable source of Philadelphia Music history. His live-wire personality got a generation of youth on their feet as a DJ for multiple radio stations; WVLT, WXPN, WTKU, WOND, and WBCB.

He was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia’s Hall of Fame, the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He sadly passed away on January 20, 2023. This night at the Kimmel Cultural Campus celebrates his life and legacy.

There's a special lineup of friends, Philadelphians, and stars joining together to remember Jerry Blavat. Darlene Love,  The Intruders feat. Phil Gay, The Chantels, Bobby Wilson, The Happenings, and Low Cut Connie will celebrate the legacy of Philly’s iconic radio DJ Jerry Blavat.
