It is the unofficial start of Summer! Time for suntan lotion and the great outdoors. If you are looking for some fun this weekend that is free to attend, this list is for you. Fireworks, National Constitution Center, festivals, flea markets, music, kites and children’s entertainment are included.

  • Fireworks on the Delaware River Waterfront

    View the fireworks from Cherry Street Pier, Race Street Pier, Washington Avenue Pier, Pier 68  and Spruce Street Harbor Park. On May 27 at 9:30pm.

  • Memorial Day Ceremony in Cherry Hill

    The Cherry Hill Township’s ceremony is on May 29th and begins at 10am, which is Memorial Day. Mayor Susan Shin Angulo and Township Council will honor veterans and active-duty military personnel.

    Join members of American Legion Post 372 and Jewish War Veterans Post 126 are co-hosting the ceremony. The keynote speaker is LTC Doug Ferrie, New Jersey Army National Guard, with 28 years of service.

  • Wildwoods International Kite Festival

    The annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival is May 26th – Monday, May 29th. It is the largest kite festival in North America. There are kite makers from around the world at this event flying their kites.

  • BWC Sound presents Cosmic Rthyms

    BWC Sound presents Cosmic Rthyms at Cherry Street Pier on Saturday, May 27th.

    Time: 3 pm to 9:30 pm. Free and open to the public.

    It is an evening of dancing with Cosmic Rhythms, vinyl, and DJs Fireworks at 9:30pm.

  • Summerfest on the Delaware River

    Ferris Wheel

    Summerfest on the Delaware River is now through September 24th. Free to enter. Pay as you go. You’ll find roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, a double-decker carousel, a ferris wheel, and food and drinks.

    Runs 10am to 5pm on May 27 and May 28 at Cherry Street Pier. Admission  is free and open to the public. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
