  • About Herr's:

The history of Herr’s potato chips begins in 1946, when 21-year-old James Stauffer Herr bought a small potato chip company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Herr was a graduate of Millersville State College, and he had no prior experience in the food industry. However, he was a hard worker and he was determined to succeed.

Herr started out by selling his potato chips to local stores. He quickly gained a reputation for making high-quality chips, and his business began to grow. In 1951, Herr purchased 37 acres of land in Nottingham, Pennsylvania, and he built a new factory. The factory was equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and it allowed Herr to produce chips on a much larger scale. The company grew.

Herr’s is known for its commitment to quality. The company uses only the freshest ingredients, and it has a strict quality control process. Herr’s is also known for its innovative marketing campaigns. The company has partnered with popular celebrities and sports teams, and it has created a number of successful advertising campaigns.
