We’re officially in June, and that means we’re a little over two months away from the NFL pre-season starting. Philadelphia Eagles fans are ready for it, as we have one of the most buzzed-about teams on the roster. Lots of Philadelphia Eagles predictions are rolling in.

People lowballed us last season, and look what happened. The Eagles made it all the way to the Super Bowl. Now, the team is back, headed up by Jalen Hurts.

Most NFL critics and commentators think the Eagles look golden for the upcoming season. But, one Sports Illustrated writer has a negative prediction. Brace yourself! Read on for the scoop, and don’t get too upset, because it’s just one guy’s opinion.

Philadelphia Eagles Predictions

  • SI Writer predicts bad things for the Eagles

Connor Orr of Sports Illustrated recently wrote about his 100 predictions for the 2023 NFL season. One of them is about the Philadelphia Eagles. He says the Eagles will not win the NFC East. Say what?

  • The reasoning behind the prediction

As for why he thinks the Eagles will not win the NFC East, Connor Orr of Sports Illustrated says, “This is based on nothing other than my internal sense that whenever everyone thinks the Eagles will be really good, they turn out to be just O.K. Whenever the Eagles are supposed to be just O.K., they end up being really good.”

He adds, “Call it deep scarring from the Dream Team summer of Vince Young and Nnamdi Asomugha (who was amazing in The Good Nurse, by the way). And don’t forget this division hasn’t had a repeat winner since these Eagles way back in 2004.”

  • SI Writer predicts good things for another team

Connor Orr of Sports Illustrated actually has good things to say about a different team: The Chiefs. He says, “The Chiefs will be undefeated heading into their Week 10 bye.” He adds, “Apologies to the Lions, Jaguars, Bears, Jets, Vikings, Broncos (twice), Chargers and Dolphins. A Super Bowl rematch against the Eagles on MNF will be the only thing standing in their way of a perfect record at Thanksgiving.”

  • In conclusion

I really love reading through all of Orr’s predictions for the upcoming season. But, it’s just his opinion. Don’t get too upset about what he says about the Eagles. Everyone knows that once the season starts, all bets are off, and everything could change.
