Meet Philadelphia’s own Two Rocks Rye, MMR’s Local Shots Artist of the Month.
Two Rocks Rye is an alternative rock-influenced group and was created as an acoustic duo by Ben Smith and Matt Walters in January 2015.
After two years of playing small bars and clubs in the Bucks County, Pennsylvania area acoustically, the duo adopted Brian Shaw for rhythm and Brendan Cassidy on Bass Guitar for a more complete sound.
They have since released three albums; Saving Claire in 2018, From the Undertow in 2020, and most recently, Back to Shine in 2023.
