Wrestler turned rock icon, Chris Jericho joined the WMMR crew this morning. Jericho spoke on a huge milestone for his band Fozzy which features Jericho’s Kuarantine bandmate, Trixter bassist, and New Jersey native; P.J. Farley as well as guitarists Rich Ward, Billy Grey, and drummer Grant Brooks, their track “Judas” has just recently hit 100 million streams on Spotify.
The former AEW champion spoke with Preston & Steve about his stint in the current number one movie in America Terrifier 3 (2024). Jericho revealed how impressed he was regarding the lack of advertisement for the movie and that its prestigious box-office placement was “entirely through word-of-mouth”. He also revealed that all of the Terrifier 3 effects were practical. He went on to detail a scene regarding his character from both Terrifier 2 & 3, Burke, has his faced ripped off and that it was all accomplished through scans of his head that were then taken and made into a graphic, bloody, faceless model.
The KISS superfan spoke further on his experience of Fozzy playing the 2015 KISS Kruise and how that played into the eventual creation of the Jericho Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Cruise. He explained “if you can have a show on a cruise and not have the amps sliding around, then you can easily throw a wrestling ring in there.” He says that the cruises hold the highest level of fans, “they are the most dedicated”. He further explains that any fan can see you in concert, any fan can buy a VIP pass, but only a specific kind of person buys a ticket to see a band on a cruise.

With the upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony Jericho shared his thoughts. He emphasized that there shouldn’t be a Rock ‘n’ Roll of Fame that has the Fujees, Dave Mathew, and Wu Tang Clan but not Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, and Ted Nugent. And he himself even offered to induct Iron Maiden when the day hopefully comes to fruition.

The Fozzy frontman who is also a Tenacious D fan shared a story regarding Jack Black, who will be inducting the legendary Ozzy Osbourne at this year Rock Hall induction. Whilst playing the Download Festival which Jericho claims is “always muddy” the wrestler turned actor and rocker said while he was prancing around in his “rock star clothes” with his leather pants and sparkly boots, he caught a glimpse of the Tenacious D frontman in “sweatpants and big, giant rubber boots” to combat the mud. He further stated that only Jack Black could be the one to get away with such a thing.
Jericho says he now lives in the moment between all of his high-profile exertions like acting, music, and wrestling. He also says that he never does anything specifically for the money and that he wouldn’t still be wrestling if he didn’t love it.
