Jason Kelce, Jalen Hurts Look-Alike Contests Crown Winners on Rittenhouse Square
Move over, Jalen Hurts. On Sunday, Dec. 15, crowds gathered on Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia to witness contestant compete in a Hurts look-alike contest.
Bartender Qualeleb Monfiston served up something better than drinks. He delivered a spot-on resemblance to the Eagles QB. The 29-year-old from Pennsauken, New Jersey, received the loudest applause from the audience when he emerged from the crowd. His resemblance to Hurts earned him two tickets to the Eagles-Steelers game on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field and a year’s worth of free coffee from Dunkin’.
“Everybody is always yelling, ‘You look like Jalen Hurts’ every time I walk around, so why not?,” he told The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Monfiston added that he would be taking his cousin, who was celebrating a birthday, to the Eagles game.
Philly ChitChat caught up with Monfiston after the competition and asked him the all-important question, “Are you single?” Without hesitating, Monfiston answered, “Yes.”
The Hurts look-alike contest followed a similar event also held at Rittenhouse Square on Saturday, Dec. 14 — a look-alike contest for former Eagles center Jason Kelce. Fishtown’s Paul Crossley claimed that title, one he took to heart.
“Very tough competition. You know, a lot of guys looked exactly like me, to be honest out here,” he said in an interview with NBC 10 Philadelphia. “It was kind of freaky. But everyone came up and had a good time, and here we are. We all pulled together, all of us Jasons, and they were great. They were great competitors.”
In addition to his bragging rights, Crossley won some Bird Gang liquor.
