Delco Staple, Pica’s Restaurant, Is Closing… But Not Forever
At 6:16am a collective gasp could be heard across Delaware County. That’s when Pica’s Restaurant posted an announcement on their Facebook page.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Pica’s Restaurant, Upper Darby will be closing in the summer 2025.”
You read that correctly. Pica’s is closing, but that’s not the end of the story and not the end of the Delco Dynasty.
The letter says that the Pica’s Restaurant on West Chester Pike in West Chester will remain open. And although they do not have an exact closing date, they offered promising news for the future.
“We are excited to share that we are taking this time to plan for a new and smaller location in the Delaware County area that will allow us to continue serving you with the same love and dedication. Stay tuned for updates on our journey ahead!”
