Team Foster is proud to announce that Dog Days of Winter is brought to you in partnership with the Penn Medicine Veteran Care of Excellence Program (VCEP) and the Penn Veteran Collaborative. Together, they’re fostering independence for those who served, providing life-changing service dogs to veterans who need them. The challenge not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of community engagement and support for the Veteran Community.
It’s time to turn the fall and winter chill into a heartwarming competition! Join Team Foster from November 11 – January 31 for the Dog Days of Winter, a friendly fundraising contest to support Team Foster’s mission to provide service dogs to injured and disabled Veterans.
Registration is just $25 plus a fundraising goal. All participants receive a Team Foster Dog Days medal.

Major, the service dog sponsored by the Phillies in conjunction with Team Foster and Warrior Canine Connection, is moving on to Advanced Training on Nov 12. He’ll return to training headquarters for 3-6 months to learn the advanced and individualized skills he’ll need for his Veteran.
We recognize the hard work Major is putting in and the life-saving support he will provide to a Veteran this Veterans Day through Team Foster’s ‘Dog Days of Winter’ virtual campaign. This virtual physical challenges participants to just “Show Up” by walking, running, riding or swimming from Veterans Day (Nov 11) through the end of January. Keep it moving during the winter holiday season and ‘Show Up’ on your own time to raise money in support of the Veterans that need it the most.
