Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance
Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum
June 25th | 10a – 3p
This year’s Concours named “The Celebration of the Snakes” will showcase an invitation-only assembly of Ford Shelby Cobras, Dodge Vipers, and other American and European classic and historic automobiles and race cars. Among some of the fastest cars in the world, one will slither off with the Best of Show.
The day-long fundraising event includes professional judging and awards presented for historical accuracy, technical merit, and style. The popular Hagerty Youth Judging program will also be implemented. This year’s classes are: Pre-War, Post-War, Open, Closed, Sports, Muscle, and Kids Choice. Amazing cars, great collections, live music, and all for a great cause.
Retired NFL Super Bowl-winning coach Dick Vermeil, who’ll be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame this August, will join two of Carroll Shelby’s early “employees”, Peter Brock, who was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame this past March, and Chuck Cantwell who helped establish the Shelby brand worldwide, along with Roy Sjoberg, known as “Father of the Viper” for a panel on Saturday. The interviews will be emceed by famed motorsports photographer/historian Harry Hurst, who helped establish the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in 2008. Tickets.
