It’s an age-old tradition to watch fireworks on July 4th. Setting off mini-explosions of all shapes and colors on the 4th of July goes back almost as far as American independence itself. And guess what, so does Philly. We are the OGs of American independence guys. So it would only make sense that the best fireworks shows take place in our state.

The best fireworks take place in the most unsuspecting of places. There are the obvious Philly shows that knock your socks off, but give the ‘burbs fireworks some love, too. You probably don’t even realize how many displays take place in your area each year. Make a thing of it. Do a fireworks tour. Why not? You will really enjoy seeing all this area has to offer for the big holiday.

There’s nothing like sitting on a blanket or a lawn chair on a summer night, basking in the bright colors exploding in the sky. Seeing kids play on the grass while lightning bugs flutter by. A cold drink in your hand and not a care in the world. Nothing better. Fireworks on July 4th are as American as apple pie and baseball. Celebrate this year by watching some awesome fireworks in Pennsylvania.

Due to the larger size of fireworks, a wider safety perimeter surrounding the discharge zone is required. As such, Sutcliffe Park and surrounding areas will be closed to the public during the event. Tests of the larger Fireworks display were completed to ensure that the majority of the Borough could still view and enjoy the fireworks from outside Sutcliffe Park.
