I went to a very spooktacular 1st Birthday party at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
My great niece Serafina turned one and we celebrated in the best, most October-y way. With a spooky party, of course! Costumes were encouraged (but mandatory, in my eyes) so Brittany and I showed up in our skeleton-best. I’m not averse to face paint as a Mummer, so I went ALL OUT.
The Johnson family owns and operates two farms. You probably know Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford. They also own Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm in Jobstown.
The original farm stand began with Bill & Bette Johnson selling their famous iced sweet corn on the corner of Hartford and Church Road. As time went on, direct marketing sales grew and so did the market to make room for future farming opportunities.
Now, Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm is an operational farm and a beautiful venue for all sorts of events. We were so lucky to be able to celebrate the wonderful Serafina’s first birthday in such a great place.
I love my family and I love all things spooky. I was so happy to celebrate with them in such a cool way.
