Day #1 of Preston & Steve’s Campout for Hunger 2023 is officially in the books, and it was certainly one for the books! The Wells Fargo Center Complex in South Philadelphia was buzzing with exhilaration all day long as the 26th Annual Campout for Hunger got underway to help collect as much nonperishable food as possible for Philabundace and our neighbors in need.
From the amazing donations and donors thus far, to the wonderful volunteers, and everyone that makes Preston & Steve’s Campout for Hunger possible, WE THANK YOU! We’ve only just begun, however, and there is a lot more fun and excitement, and FOOD to donate as the week rolls on.
Make sure you stop by the WMMR promo table after you donate to register for a chance to win one of many cool prizes including, Tool tickets for their sold-out show at the Wells Fargo Center this Thursday (11/16), MammothWVH and Nita Strauss tickets to their sold-out show this Saturday (11/18) at the Keswick, Foo Fighters tickets (7/23), Flyers tickets 11/28), Nate Bargatze tickets (3/7), Blink-182 (7/26), Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid tickets (8/9), and much more.
Tonight’s (11/14) Campout After Dark activities include a showing of the Step Brothers movie outside the Bimbo Bakeries USA Broadcast Tent, free snacks from Asher’s Chocolates & Philly Pretzel Factory, and more. Make sure you bring your own chairs and blankets for the outside movie tonight. Just a reminder, the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Indiana Pacers at the Big Joint tonight at 7 pm.
