Timothée Chalamet takes the lead in this new Bob Dylan Movie filming down the shore.

Filming is underway for “A Complete Unknown,” a new biopic chronicling the life of music legend Bob Dylan. But there’s a twist: the film’s setting in Cape May, not the historic Newport Folk Festival where many of the depicted events actually took place.

Director James Dean chose the charming Jersey Shore town for its picturesque Victorian charm. With a little movie magic, the town transforms into a convincing 1965 Newport, the year Dylan’s now-iconic electric guitar performance at the Folk Festival sent shockwaves through the music world.

Portraying the enigmatic Dylan is Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet. Fans caught glimpses of Chalamet sporting a Dylan-esque mop of hair filming near The Victorian Motel, surely sparking excitement amongst Dylan devotees.

Chalamet isn’t the only big name gracing the Cape May set. Elle Fanning joins the cast, portraying Dylan’s love interest, singer Suze Rotolo.

While plot details remain tightly under wraps, “A Complete Unknown” is bound to explore the pivotal moment at the Newport Folk Festival when Dylan, a rising star in the folk scene, dared to go electric. This bold move, met with boos from some purists, ultimately redefined Dylan’s sound and paved the way for a new era of rock and roll.

While we wait for its release date, keep an eye out for news and behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set in Cape May:
