Virtual 18th Birthday Fundraiser
Aidan’s Heart Foundation was formed shortly after the unexpected death of Aidan Joseph Silva in the fall of 2010 to protect young hearts from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
Aidan’s Heart Foundation is committed to providing awareness, education, and support to the communities of the southeast Pennsylvania region and its surrounding area to create heart-safe communities for youth regarding the prevention of and/or response to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
The Silent Auction is to honor Aidan J. Silva on his 18th birthday in heaven. Aidan died at only 7 years old on 9/4/10 of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). SCA is the #1 cause of death in student athletes. Father’s Day weekend in June would have been our 10th Annual 5K Run/Walk for Aidan J. which is the flagship event each year in Kerr Park, Downingtown, PA where Aidan loved to run and play.
This annual event brought families together and raised funds to keep the communities heart-safe. Because the 5K is the biggest fundraiser each year, there will be a Virtual Birthday Weekend which includes a virtual Silent Auction, community dining celebrations starting 6/15th and ending 6/19th, and a Virtual 5K.

On October 23, 2013, Aidan’s Heart Foundation became officially recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.
