Brief Description of Event:
The Camden County Warriors Ice Hockey Club are excited to announce an upcoming charitable event that will hit home for so many first responder families and friends. The Camden County Warriors and the New Jersey State Police Ice Hockey Clubs will be playing an exhibition game on October 7th to benefit the Michael R. McCausland Foundation.
The Michael R. McCausland Foundation was formed to support first responders and their families in times of need as they lost their loved one, Michael R. McCausland, in 2021. Unfortunately, there is still a stigma surrounding mental health and first responders and as a team made up of first responders, mental health is a subject that is very near and dear to our organization.
Our goal is to raise awareness and disseminate information to the public sector. In partnering up with the Michael R. McCausland Foundation, the hope, ability, and determination to spread the seriousness of this epidemic that plagues so many families can be done. The ability to provide the resources and positivity that show that better days are within reach is an aspiration of ours.
During our event in October and possible events after, we plan to have raffles, 50/50 and much more to raise money and spread awareness. We all know it takes a village, so we are reaching out to members of our community to invite you to join us in the events but also to consider helping us achieve our goal. If the ability is there, we would truly appreciate the consideration in donating either monetarily or any item that can be raffled off to the attendees.
With your help, we can ensure that the MRM Foundation can continue their remarkable work with not only the families of those lost but with the hope of reaching out and spreading awareness to those first responders who are dealing with mental health issues in the dark.
