A Polar Pop Team – help them support Special Olympics!
Since we couldn’t do the Law Enforcement Torch Run this year, we created a Polar Pop Team. Please help us support Special Olympics!
From Matt Lally:
I am a member of the Philadelphia Police Department Highway Patrol. Each year I have the honor to lead the Special Olympics Torch Run through the city of Philadelphia and ending on the Campus of Villanova University. Due to Covid, the torch run along with other fundraising events such as the polar plunge have been cancelled. So since everything has gone virtual, so have we.
The Special Olympics have come up with the Polar Pop, in which you raise funds to pop a balloon over your head and upload the video (think ice bucket challenge) we created a team. On top of popping a balloon full of ice water over my head, I’ve up the stakes: I will be doing a full bucket of water over my head in full highway patrol uniform (leather boots and all) for each hundred dollars that is donated.
The event ends Feb 21st. More info: www.classy.org/team.
Thank you for your help

With all this snow headed our way, we think there's absolutely no better time for everyone to head outside and take the PA POLAR POP! ❄️📌🎈💦
