Special Olympics Pennsylvania Polar Plunge

Wawa is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Philadelphia Polar Plunge. Over the past 10 years, Wawa has donated nearly $3 million to provide free sports training, health screenings and leadership programming to more than 13,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout the state.
You can support Special Olympics by visiting any Wawa store through February 18th and making a donation or by joining Wawa and Team MMR at the Philadelphia Polar Plunge on February 10th.

Saturday, February 10, 2024
- Registration opens at 9 am
- Opening Ceremonies start at 11:15 am
- Plunge starts around 12 pm with our Law Enforcement Teams and Special Olympic Athletes
- Includes College/University Plunge teams
> General Registration is $50; all registrants will receive the Philadelphia Plunge T-Shirt.
> Show up ready to plunge in proper attire on plunge day.
> Jump into a chilly pool outside the stadium for the athletes of Special Olympics Pennsylvania!
> Not Plunging? Spectators can cheer on individuals and teams from the viewing areas and join us in PLUNGETOWN for food and entertainment! Non-plungers can also register as “Too Chicken to Plunge” with a one-time $50 donation in support of our athletes.

- Arrive starting at 9 am – 12 pm
- Bus parking at designated locations
- Open ONLY to middle schools and high schools
Business Lunch & Plunge – Friday, February 9, 2024
- Business Lunch starts promptly at 12:30 pm
- Business Plunge starts around 1:30 pm
JOIN THE POLAR POP
> Pop a water balloon filled with cold water over your head, or over the heads of friends and family members, to show your support of Special Olympics. This option is open to everyone and is perfect for people who are unable to attend the in-person plunge.
> Commit to register $50 and get your t-shirt; Pop shirts will be shipped by March.
> Post about your Pop on social media using #PhillyPlunge and challenge others to register and join in the fun!
