We are drumming down memory lane! This is the ULTIMATE Throwback Thursday. Music’s true warriors are the drummers— the guys way in the back, behind all that stuff, giving the music its spine and drive. They contribute to the cohesion and contour and a huge chunk of its personality.
Drummers often do not the credit they deserve. I loved being a drummer.
In this article, I'm going to take you through my life as a drummer. I was lucky enough to be part of some awesome groups, and to know some really stellar drummers. Yes, I had a life before I was a rock radio DJ!
As the years have gone by, I've gone from drummer to Mummer, but I've never lost my love of the art. Like I said at the beginning, once a drummer, always a drummer. It will always be a part of me. And now, I want to share that part of me with you all! I've never lost my love and appreciation for drumming, drummers, and all things drums!
Here are the bullet points of my drumming timeline for this TBT. I hope you enjoy it!
I started drumming in Mama and Papa BamBam’s basement

Look at little DRACKY BAMBAM!!!! This was before I grew into my mile-high hair! I went to the same school as Roger Earl, Charlie Watts, Carmine Appice, Phil Rudd & Keith Moon!

I then went on to tour the country with my bands: Scarlet Fever and Dogtown Balladeers! Can you spot me on this album cover?

HARD & FAST! That was Scarlet Fever! I wouldn't recommend calling that "Scarlet Fever Hotline" at the bottom of the page anymore, though...

Look at Scarlet Fever on the same upcoming shows list as Heaven's Edge! That's why I'm such good friends with the group.
The Dogtown Balladeers
Dogtown Balladeers had our debut, a five-track EP co-produced by ex-HANOI ROCKS bassist Sam Yaffa and former BRITNY FOX and BLACKEYED SUSAN vocalist Dean Davidson.
Carmine Appice

My old school friend Carmine Appice (of Rod Stewart, Vanilla Fudge, and Beck) and I. He has been a drummer for many rock heavyweights.
