[00:00:13] The 95th Academy Awards were held last night. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event. Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, and Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh. Brendan Fraser won Best Actor for his performance in The Whale. Lady Gaga performed, even though it was reported that she was not going to. A Philly pretzel store located in Los Angeles baked 4,000 pretzels for the event at the request of Jimmy Kimmel. The Razzies were also held, and the results were cruel yet self-aware.
[00:43:48] Wrecking on Test Drives. Someone Preston knows was on a test drive with a relative, and that relative crashed the vehicle. Nick has had multiple incidents with cars he did not own. Preston and Casey have spilled liquids in cars. Callers tell tales of their own test-driving incidents. You should always use a rental company’s insurance for rental cars, not your own.
[01:26:52] The Bizarre File. A full house of three alligators and two nazis. A Florida resident found an eleven-foot alligator in her family’s swimming pool after it smashed through their fence. Construction workers at a renovation site in North Carolina discovered an eight-foot alligator in the attic of a home during their lunch break. A homeowner shot an alligator four times in the skull after it attacked his dog in his backyard. A Florida sheriff blasts “white supremacist morons” for passing out flyers of him in a bra. Chicago residents are distressed over Nazi flags flying in multiple apartment windows. A Minnesota man was charged for fatally beating an elderly man with a shovel and a moose antler.
[01:50:05] Getting a Good Night’s Sleep. Preston read an article about a study that determined the best and worst cities in the country for getting sleep. Factors included types of pollution, physical activity, etc. Philly was named the worst, and Austin, Texas was named the best. Everyone has different things they need to sleep. Dr. Mike calls in. He thinks springing forward is the most unhealthy, ridiculous thing of all time. A lot of heart issues become prominent after springing forward. Nick answer’s Casey question of where the measurement of the second came from. Caller Christopher gets mistaken for Jesus.
[02:34:04] Florida Field Trip. The gang is going to Florida! A NASA launch is scheduled for the 17th after the Spring Training broadcast. Casey is hellbent on seeing an alligator while they are down there. Steve thinks Spring Training will have a Philly vibe. Jupiter – not the planet – is the mecca of golf.
[02:49:12] The Noticer. A New York City fashionista explains her methods of getting people to quiet down in airplanes and hotels on TikTok. Uber has unveiled some new product features to make it easier to find one at an airport.
[03:25:56] The Bizarre File. A podcaster and her husband were shot and killed in their home after a stalker/fan of the podcast broke into it. West Ham United F.C. may ban a group of supporters after a video was uploaded of a fan snorting a line of white powder off a bald fan’s head. Horrific footage shows a mentally distressed man throwing his wife off a ferry. A suspect has been taken into custody after driving a car into a Wilmington airport terminal. A man who attempted to rob a teenager at knifepoint in Scotland discovered the victim was his own son.
[03:45:24] Hollywood Trash and Music News. Gene Simmons would love for Kiss to do a Las Vegas residency again. The Rolling Stones are being sued by a songwriter for their 2020 single “Living in a Ghost Town.” Eric Clapton will perform a pair of tribute concerts for the late Jeff Beck. Eddie Van Halen once jammed with Fred Durst, with Van Halen later showing up to Limp Bizkit’s rehearsal house in a bizarre outfit with a gun to pick up some equipment.
