Listen To Preston & Steve’s First Show On 93.3 WMMR – May 16, 2005
Podcast of Preston & Steve’s first show on MMR is shared below along with the epic photo gallery from the last 26 years.
Can you believe it’s been 19 years since The Preston & Steve Show first graced the airwaves of 93.3 WMMR? It was May 16th, 2005 that Philadelphia finally heard Preston Elliot and Steve Morrison again after signing off from Y100 a few months earlier on February 24th.
The Preston & Steve Show (Preston, Marilyn and Steve) began in 1998. Which meant that they already had seven years of experience together on the radio when they moved down the dial. That felt like forever. Now they have 19 years together at MMR. The radio hosts you are about to listen to below weren’t dreaming of longevity like that, they were just trying to get through the first day in a brand new studio.
Overall the show is similar to the one you know today. Casey Boy Foster, Kathy Romano, and Nick McIlwain are all in studio. Everyone sounds like a child. And they were crammed into a tiny studio. (Remember Preston used to accidently step on Casey’s foot daily?) But the segments were only 8 minutes long.
