ACT 13 Grants in Pennsylvania with Senator Amanda Cappelletti
Amanda Cappelletti, District 17 State Senator from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, was kind enough to take time from her busy schedule to discuss two big ACT 13 Grants for her district. One grant is part of a phase to fix up an outdoor space that needs work. The other grant is to help fix up and strengthen an area that is prone to flooding. Because of the storms and water runoff from the high country. Senator Cappelletti also speaks about the process for townships in Pennsylvania to petition to receive ACT 13 grants for their outdoor spaces, to help fix up areas vulnerable to flooding, and more. ACT 13 grants begin and end at the township level.
Pennsylvania state agencies and local governments receive money from the legislation, known as Act 13, which specifies how the fee revenues shall be distributed and the purposes for which they may be expended. Income from the fee will go to a wide range of recipients, from state agencies and local government to private entities to address the direct and indirect impacts of shale gas drilling as well as a host of other current and future needs.
Senator Cappelletti also shares information about how all residents in the commonwealth can get involved in their local communities. It’s extremely important to know what is happening in your township or neighborhood of a city. If you would like to know what ACT 13 is, get information here.
