Metallica Foundation Donates $500K to LA Wildfire Relief
Metallica, via their All Within My Hands Foundation, has contributed $500,000 to support Los Angeles wildfire recovery efforts.
The donation will be divided evenly between two local organizations: California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and Pasadena’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief And Recovery Fund. So far, the devastating fires have taken 24 lives, displaced 100,000 residents, and destroyed 40,000 acres of land.
Metallica launched its foundation in 2017 with a clear mission: to help others. They cover all administrative costs themselves, ensuring donations go directly to those in need.
Metallica’s foundation has donated to a number of disaster relief efforts in recent years. In October 2024, the foundation donated $100,000 to Hurricane Helene relief efforts and another $100,000 to Hurricane Milton relief efforts.
Metallica’s charitable efforts aren’t just reserved for disaster relief. Over the years, the All Within My Hands Foundation has focused on three main areas: Workforce education, hunger relief, and community support. They’ve also partnered with veterans’ organizations to help service members get back on their feet. This generous donation aligns perfectly with the band’s long-standing commitment. Through their foundation, they continue supporting the communities that have supported them.
The band also donates a portion of their tour ticket sales to local community organizations where they perform as part of their #MetallicaGivesBack initiative.
