Congratulations to Bill Clement and Al Morganti for being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame!
Broadcaster Bill Clement and hockey writer and broadcaster Al Morganti, who have both made incredibly positive impacts on the hockey world right here in Philadelphia, are heading into the Hockey Hall of Fame! These two great men were named 2022 Hockey Hall of Fame media award recipients.
Bill Clement, a longtime friend to the Preston & Steve Show, will receive the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions as a hockey broadcaster. Morganti, who continues to work in Philly radio and for NBC Sports Philadelphia, will receive the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for excellence in hockey journalism.
Clement, grew up in Quebec, Canada, played 11 seasons in the NHL and won two Stanley Cup championships with the Flyers in 1974 and 1975. Bill has been a broadcaster for Comcast SportsNet / NBC Sports Philadelphia as well as for ESPN, NBC, ABC, TNT, CTV, CBC and Rogers Sportsnet. He has also been a broadcaster for four Olympics and more than 20 Stanley Cup Finals.
