After the Philadelphia Flyers have lost a game, it crushes the hearts of their fans. If you’re a big fan of hockey in Philadelphia, you live and die with the Orange and Black.

It takes a tough fan to root for the Flyers. They were called the Broad Street Bullies for a reason. The incredible passion of Philly sports fans pours out at the Wells Fargo Center for every home game. It’s been the way since the days of the old Spectrum back in the 1970s.

The same maniacs occupy the building for 76ers games, and they walk over to the Linc on Sundays for Eagles games and Citizens Bank Park throughout the summer for Phillies games.

So The Flyers Lost: What Do I Do?

A bad loss can push you into despair. If the Pittsburgh Penguins, the New York Rangers, or the New Jersey Devils take down the Flyers, diehard fans might have a hard time getting over it.

However, there are plenty of ways to cope. You’ve seen the Flyers lose before, and you’ll see it again. Hang on through the bad times to get to the good. A chip on the shoulder defines the mentality of an underdog fan base.

There’s no need to overanalyze a bad loss. It hurts enough when an opposing team celebrates in a Philadelphia stadium. You probably already know what went wrong. Instead, find some healthier ways to help yourself out in the mourning of defeat.

Here are some coping strategies for the day after the Philadelphia Flyers loss:
