Billie Joe Armstrong is involved in a new side project, according to Instagram. The Green Day frontman has been sharing a visual teasers for a new project called The Longshot. The project has its own Instagram account, which is currently set to private. However, the account does include a bio, which says: “New album “Love is for Losers” coming eventually, sooner or later. Probably sooner.”
GLENN HUGHES Paying Tribute To DEEP PURPLE On Upcoming Tour: Loudwire
Glenn Hughes will be paying homage to his stint in Deep Purple on his upcoming U.S. tour. The ‘Classic Deep Purple Live’ trek will feature Hughes performing songs off the albums Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste the Band, which were all released in the mid-Seventies. The tour will stop at a few places in our area, including Wilmington on August 31st, and Lancaster on September 1st.
MAKE MUSIC DAY Returns On June 21st: Rolling Stone
The annual Make Music Day will return June 21st with over 4500 free events, music lessons, jam sessions and concerts planned all over the world. Make Music Day strives to bring together “musicians of all ages, backgrounds and genres, amateur and professional alike, to make and enjoy music.” The festival began in France in 1982 and now takes place in more than 800 cities around the world.
