Honoring Adam Ferraioli Of Get The Led Out
I was devastated to hear about the passing of Adam Ferraioli of Get The Led Out.
The band announced the sad news on Friday, January 26, 2024, with a statement via Facebook:
“Hey GTLO fans, we are devastated to share the news that our brother, and drummer of 18 years Adam Ferraioli passed peacefully from this world yesterday, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. As some of you may be aware, he was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer in November. It became very aggressive, very quickly and there simply weren’t any real treatment options. While we are deeply saddened by his leaving us too soon, we are grateful that he is now free from the pain and suffering that this dreaded disease inflicts.”
This is truly a devastating loss for the music community. Adam Ferraioli was a true original.
Over the years Adam played in many Philadelphia-based bands including “Britney Fox”, “Tangier”, and his first cover band “Thrust”. He spent 18 years with GTLO, nailing John Bonham’s unique drumming style. “It all started when I heard my first Led Zeppelin record, THAT’S how I wanted to play the drums! John Bonham’s thunderous, bombastic beat just drove the band!”
Anyone who has witnessed Adam’s drumming knows that he was a natural talent. His insane rhythmic abilities propelled the band from the rehearsal studio to Red Rocks! And those who’ve known him personally, know what a sweetheart of a human he is, and that he’s always looking for the next joke. Adam was a massive part of what it means to “rock.”
