Jim Florentine on Zoom (02:27:55) Jim Florentine joins Zoom, admitting how much he dislikes all the tech stuff and just wishes he could focus on writing for his comedy shows. He humorously shares his own early voice struggles, recalling how his deep voice in high school led to laughs and even helped him get his friends out of school. On the topic of voiceovers, Jim hasn’t pursued it much lately, but would love to get back into it – if the opportunity presented itself.
Alex Lifeson on Zoom (02:36:38) Alex Lifeson has been blessed working with Maiah Wynne in “Envy of None”, as her personal growth has led to writing powerful and personal songs. The four-piece band collaborates on mixing and producing, and they’ve evolved their sound much like Rush did, with solo work benefiting the group. To Alex, “Envy of None’s” second album feels rejuvenating, and Preston encouraged him to focus on writing a book about his backstage stories, as his wife has been urging him to do.
