Her Story - Erika McLeod HERO

Erika McLeod is a beacon of inspiration in the realms of clinical health, patient advocacy, and community empowerment.

This week's Her Story guest is a woman whose journey exemplifies resilience, determination, and advocacy in the face of adversity.

Erika McLeod's, professional trajectory is marked by a profound commitment to fostering informative and impactful connections, particularly within communities of color. She understands firsthand the critical importance of representation and its transformative impact.

After her aspirations of entering medical school were unexpectedly derailed by a life-altering medical setback, Erika found herself grappling with uncertainty and doubt. However, this pivotal moment served as a catalyst for her to discover a new purpose—one rooted in advocacy, empowerment, and the amplification of voices often marginalized.

Today, Erika is a passionate advocate for engaging underserved communities to address the systemic health disparities prevalent among at-risk populations. Her journey led her to co-found the Change Our Future Foundation alongside her husband, Rodney McLeod, with a mission to empower individuals through education, advocacy, and awareness.

The foundation's "Youth Leadership Summit" is taking place on April 27th.

Plus details and tickets are now available for their annual Sneaker Ball happening June 20, 2024!
