Team WMMR Rock & Rollers started their journey with The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation back in 2014. This year will be our 10th year riding as a team. I was new to cycling back in 2014… and I had NO idea how to captain a team. That year we had 16 members and we raised $4450. I learned that year about the cycling community and the comradery that exists on the day of the ride.
I was HOOKED. More importantly, I was determined to grow our team and our team’s contribution to the cause. One way, I thought, to attract more people to the team, was to offer them something for their efforts. The next year, all team members received a WMMR t-shirt. That sucked. We needed something more. I decided to design a team jersey for the 2016 ride…and that was the start of Team WMMR’s calling card.
It wasn’t until 2018 that our team jerseys started to make an impression on all of the people who ride in the Ben to the Shore. That year, we designed a jersey that looked a lot like a white Philadelphia Eagles jersey. I was so proud of that design!! To date, that jersey is my favorite of all of our jerseys!! I wanna give you a rundown of all of our jersey designs over the years, but first I want to acknowledge our partners that have made these team jerseys possible.
