Everything on the internet is real… to a 5yr old.  After watching a parody video featuring Dr. Seuss’ infamous grouchy character, TyLon Pittman felt it was his civic duty to call the local Byram, MI and help them to stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas.

The boy’s father caught him mid-report and profusely apologized to the 911 operator who said with a compassionate giggle, “it’s fine… it’s definitely been the most interesting thing that’s happened” during her time on the job.

Just to be safe, Officer Lauren Develle reported to the Pittman household and went over the proper procedures with TyLon in case the Grinch does attempt his “wonderful, awful idea.”

Listen to the adorable 911 call and the follow up posted by older brother, TeDera:

Kid Calls 911 To Stop Grinch From Stealing Christmas

Five-year-old TyLon Pittman called 911 to report that The Grinch was planning to steal Christmas. One of the most enduring holiday traditions every winter is the sharing of beloved Christmas movies with friends and family. For those with children in their lives, there is the added joy of getting to show those children A Christmas Story or It's a Wonderful Life for the first time.
