Ray Davies – Waterloo Sunset – Live from the MMaRchives
The Kinks frontman Ray Davies visited Pierre Robert in October of 1996 during a run of shows at the TLA. He played a couple of songs during that interview, including The Kinks’ “Waterloo Sunset” (fun fact: this song was ranked at #42 on “Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”). Listen for the Sting reference that’s tacked onto the beginning of the track.
