War Is (Really) Over: Third Man Records, Raconteurs Share New Black Keys Track
In case there was any doubt about whether The Black Keys and Jack White had officially buried the hatchet, the real proof came today when Third Man Records and The Raconteurs shared a clip of the new Black Keys track “Lo/Hi.”
A Twitter and Instagram post from Third Man Records was captioned, “More evidence that Nashville rock n roll is alive and well. Congrats on the new music, @theblackkeys!” The same caption was featured in an Instagram post from The Raconteurs.

White and The Black Keys traded barbs for years, all of which are detailed in this “Beef History” piece from Rolling Stone. The feud between The Black Keys and White was “officially” put to rest back in January 2017 when White’s ex-wife, Karen Elson, responded to reports about Patrick Carney producing a couple of tracks on her album Double Roses, which was released later that year. Publications speculated that Elson chose Carney as a producer as a response to her divorce with White, but she took to Twitter and stated, “It’s your friendly fact checker, no drama or anything close to what you’re writing about. These people are friends end of story.”

What could this mean for the future? Who knows, but with the Black Keys and the Raconteurs both reportedly booked for Woodstock 50, it looks like any potential backstage drama won’t be happening at the festival in August.
